Little Palestine Logo Contest

Logo Design Contest: Little Palestine Project

The Arab-American Business & Professional Association (ABPA) is thrilled to announce a logo design contest for our upcoming project, Little Palestine. This initiative aims to designate a vibrant district within Bridgeview, Illinois, as Little Palestine—a unique destination where visitors can experience and celebrate Palestinian heritage and culture. We are inviting talented designers and artists to help us create a logo that will embody the spirit, culture, and aspirations of this district as a landmark for Palestinian pride and community.

Project Background:

Bridgeview, Illinois, is home to a thriving Palestinian-American community. With its rich culture, traditional cuisine, and sense of community, Bridgeview has long served as a cultural hub for Palestinians in the United States. The Little Palestine Project aims to build on this foundation by designating a specific area in Bridgeview as a tourist-friendly district. This space will offer visitors an immersive experience into Palestinian heritage through food, art, music, and community activities.

ABPA is proud to spearhead this initiative, partnering with local leaders and organizations to turn Little Palestine into a vibrant destination for cultural tourism. Our vision is to create a place where Palestinians can share their stories, traditions, and pride with visitors from all walks of life, bringing awareness to Palestinian culture and fostering intercultural understanding.

About the Logo Design Contest:

To capture the essence of Little Palestine, we are seeking a logo that is visually striking, culturally resonant, and instantly recognizable. The winning design will become the official emblem of Little Palestine, representing the district in signage, promotional materials, merchandise, and beyond.

Contest Details:

  • Eligibility: Open to all designers, artists, and creatives who wish to contribute to this meaningful project.
  • Submission Deadline: January 31st, 2025
  • Prizes: The winner will receive $1,000 cash, and the honor of having their design represent Little Palestine.

Logo Requirements:

  • Design Elements: The logo should reflect Palestinian heritage.
  • Versatility: The logo should be adaptable across various platforms and materials, from digital media to physical signage.
  • Originality: All submissions must be original artwork.

Selection Process:

A panel of ABPA members, community leaders, and design experts will review submissions. We will also invite the Bridgeview community to participate in the selection process by voting on the finalists. The winning logo will be chosen based on creativity, cultural relevance, and adherence to the project’s mission.

Why Participate?

This contest is a unique opportunity to be part of a historic initiative that celebrates and preserves Palestinian heritage in the United States. The winning design will play a pivotal role in establishing Little Palestine as a tourist destination and cultural landmark, helping to shape the way Palestinian culture is represented and appreciated by the world.
