As part of the Arab-American Business Professional’s Association 2019 Emerging Leaders program, Attorney Tony Abou Ezzi, founder of Ezzi Law, presented on the lack of Estate Planning (Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney) among families and individuals both within the AABPA community, and at large. USA Today released an article indicating that roughly 64% of Americans do NOT have a Will, Attorney Tony Abou Ezziconducted a survey among the Arab-American community and determined that 60% have no Estate Plan. To address this confusing, scary and overwhelming topic, Tony shared with us what an “Estate” is and the various documents you can use to create a plan that protects you and your family. He discussed the meaning behind each document and what they are used for, with the goal of identifying various issues that can arise from not having a plan. The presentation was interactive and engaging with attendance by several AABPA Members and non-members alike!
