ABPA announces 2024 Emerging Leader

The Arab-American Business and Professional Association is pleased to introduce our newest Emerging Leader for the class of 2024.

Sief Salameh, a first-generation Magna Cum Laude graduate from the University of Illinois at Chicago in Public Policy and a Masters of Public Policy (MPP) graduate from the University of Chicago, has been selected for this important role. Currently serving as a Board of Review Analyst at Cook County, Sief brings a wealth of experience to ABPA’s Emerging Leader Program. His previous roles include serving as a Legislative intern and a Congressional fellow at the U.S. House of Representatives, where he focused on policy areas such as affordable housing, small businesses, and economic mobility. Sief also played a key role in leading a Census & Get Out the Vote (GOTV) campaign at Arab American Family Services and coordinated outreach strategies at the first U.S.-based Arab American Cultural Center at UIC, advocating against anti-Arab/Muslim bias in media and highlighting the impacts of state-sanctioned policing.

In his capacity as an Emerging Leader, Mr. Salameh will spearhead the initial phase of ABPA’s Little Palestine Project initiative, aimed at promoting tourism and highlighting the cultural heritage of this vibrant region.
